Allowing Christ to be Our Discernment

All of us are being impacted by a barrage of changes in our everyday lives. Faster communication, extreme climate changes, technology expansion, media bombardment, government control, politically correctness and simply put a huge overload of information. Change is not all bad but it’s not all good. Change is real and you will not stop it. You can not avoid it. Here is the Good News!

Hebrew 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever.

Jesus is:
omnipotent (all powerful),
omnipresent (everywhere at the same time),
omniscient (all wise, all seeing, knows everything).

Why do I share this? God’s people need to have discernment in these end times. God gives discernment so that we can make wise choices and avert dangerous or worrisome situations that He wants to protect us from.

Discernment is to be done without passing judgment yet allows us to get spiritual direction and understanding. Jesus is Discernment.

Discernment is needed by followers of Christ. With discernment, we can acquire God’s will for living. Discernment is also used to test a spirit to see if it is of God or Satan.

Listen to the word of Jesus…

John 5:30 30 I am able to do nothing from Myself [independently, of My own accord—but only as I am taught by God and as I get His orders]. Even as I hear, I judge [I decide as I am bidden to decide. As the voice comes to Me, so I give a decision], and My judgment is right (just, righteous), because I do not seek or consult My own will [I have no desire to do what is pleasing to Myself, My own aim, My own purpose] but only the will and pleasure of the Father Who sent Me.

There is a lot of voices today…a lot of changes….a lot that can influence us. Change is ok as long as you have discernment. Do not be misled or misinformed.

Again…the words of Jesus…

24 “Consider carefully what you hear,” he continued. “With the measure you use, it will be measured to you—and even more. Mark 4:24

Ask Jesus today to give you discernment everyday. Jesus loves you!
